I visited Zara Morgan as a walk-in a few weeks ago. I saw a rainbow sticker on the door saying that everyone was welcome, which is great to see! I got a really great haircut as well. Everyone was super accommodating, offering me drinks and stuff. Very happy with the service provided, I would recommend them happily!
Danni-Jade is the best hairdresser ever!! She’s super talented and knows exactly what works and always makes my hair look and feel amazing. I always leave feeling super happy and confident. Danni is also so lovely to chat to and makes the whole appointment super relaxed and fun. I genuinely wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair! She gets it spot on every single time. 1000% Would recommend
I just wanted to say a big thank you to Khyla who transformed my hair in time for my birthday. I was nervous trying a new hair dresser but she was extremely lovely and chatty and made my experience so much better. She gave me lots of recommendations on hair products and ways to help my hair grow. The salon staff were all super lovely and helpful and I had a lovely experience. Thank you Khyla I will be back soon! You have a great team here and Khyla is a credit to you!
Wouldn’t recommend. I’ve been having my hair done at Zara Perry Hairdressing for 3 years, but unfortunately I won’t be returning. The balayage service that I had with a ‘Future Professional’ (now newly qualified) stylist was of such poor quality (unacceptably so, even for a trainee), with patchy bleach and harsh dip-dye look. The service cost just under £90. Trainees are meant to be supervised, but no one came over to check-in until the very end of the cut (no check before or during colour), and only on request of the trainee as she appeared to be struggling. This meant the bleach and foil application was completely unsupervised. At the time, I was quietly concerned but assumed this meant she didn’t need the supervision. All my previous trainee appointments had been supervised. These photos show my hair after the ‘re-do’ appointment they offered (same stylist, this time supervised) so this is actually better than it was originally. To my surprise, the stylist did not seem to see a problem with the initial result when I gently pointed out the blotchy bleach at the appointment, but it was not until a friend took a photo of the back of my head that I realised the extent of the problem. Raising concerns was therefore very awkward because of this attitude; certain staff seemed quite defensive. Perhaps worse, however, than the poor quality job on my hair, was the response I received from the founder when raising my concerns about the state of my hair and the lack of supervision of the trainee during the original appointment. I felt the tone and nature of the response was unreasonable, dismissing my concerns and reflecting an unwillingness to consider that any team member had made a mistake or apologise for this. They seemed extremely defensive. I was shocked by this and felt very let down, my concerns unheard. I don’t enjoy complaining, but did so respectfully and discreetly when I realised how bad my hair looked. Every good business should listen to customer feedback and problems, and it was so disappointing and upsetting to hear them dismiss my concerns and argue against the facts. At the end of the day, unfortunately a service was not delivered with adequate care, reasonable skill or any of the required supervision - this is clear from the photos - and it is me who has had to deal with the costly and personally distressing consequences. I asked for a refund but they refused, saying they were not obliged to do so, and eventually offered a free appointment, after the redo, but the exchange felt so unpleasant and the offer felt insincere, so I politely declined. So many women feel nervous to trust hairdressers or try somewhere new, and now I understand why. I had never had a terrible experience at a hairdressers before, but I’m disappointed to say that my trust has been let down by Zara Perry Hairdressing and I would not recommend visiting.
