A friend recommended this store to me when I was complaining about how much i missed all the great alternative stores in Austin, TX where I am from. I immediately looked it up and found their small shop tucked away in the old Junior League building downtown. The lady in the shop was very friendly and let me slowly go through the extensive collection of loose herbs and teas they sell. I was impressed with the selection of hard to find herbs and with their custom tea and herbal blends. They had numerous blends and herbs bagged and ready to go. I bought several teas, various loose herbs, and an elderberry syrup kit, which I made at home. I'm also infusing a facial oil from a package of their organic roses and petals. This store is small, but mighty! I'll definitely be back, but I have one complaint - everything is sold in cheap, plastic zip lock baggies. I hate buying herbs or foods packed in plastic. The elderberry syrup kit left me with a collection of nine baggies after I made it! There are numerous, inexpensive alternatives to plastic baggies that a retailer can purchase. One of my favorite organic herb growers sells their products in little wax-lined paper baggies with fold down tops that seal with a zip lock or side flaps. It's a small thing, but it would go a long way towards keeping the herbs and teas fresh without using BPA-filled plastic baggies. Either way, it's a great store. Go visit them!
