Of course it was the coldest day of the year when we lost our heat. We called Academy Heating & Air Conditioning, a family-owned company, with our request for quick help. When we spoke with them it was not like the experience you get with a huge company. We have decades-long experience with Academy and their personal attention and care is why we return time and time again. They honestly care about us and went far out of their way to help us. Academy management called us to discuss the work and directed strong action to restore our heat as soon as possible. They even reviewed their charges to ensure it was fair to us (it was more than fair- it was great). Their technicians are polite, respectful, and highly knowledgeable. We could go on, but the point has been made- we appreciate the people of Academy, their care for a customer relationship, demonstrated competency, and fair prices.

I have been using Academy for about 30 years, ever since they were the only heating contractor willing to install returns in our upper bedrooms, rather than only selling me a new Htg/AC system. They have always been responsive to our needs and, while no contractor is perfect, in the few instances when they weren't able to solve the problem the first time, they always cheerfully returned to correct the issue. Over the years I've bought two Bryant systems from them and have been very satisfied. They may not be the cheapest contractor out there, but I believe they are a good value, are fair dealing, and will remain with you for the long haul. Today, in the midst of our summer heat wave, for example, they were able to come out on short notice and replace an electrical part in my AC unit, so I didn't have to, literally, sweat through the weekend. The technician also showed me how to reduce the chances of such a repair in the future.
