Dr. Lehrer is one of the better doctors I've had. We've been going to him for seven years now. He treats my family. We've never had one problem of any kind. He's always very courteous and actually kind to us. But more importantly he diagnoses the problems correctly and we get proper treatment. His staff are very professional and have always been friendly. I've never had a problem getting an appointment. I've never had to wait for long periods even after about 30 visits total by me alone. My wife has had the same experiences. He's been very patient and listens to what I've had to say. And he's been very respectful of my wife. We're very lucky to have such a good doctor in Newport. He's really knows his stuff and understands the medications. And he is incredibly patient and never discourteous even to people who come in demanding pain meds over and over.

Doctor Leher is the most uneducated and disrespectful doctor I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. Definitely not a doctor you would ever want to go to if you have any type of mental illness. He didn't take my husband seriously when talking about his anxiety disorder, PTSD, and depression. He thinks getting exercise is the best and only solution to solving mental illness. My husband recently quit his job to focus on his mental health and doctor leher said that staying at home doing nothing isn't going to make our kids proud of him...great thing to say to someone already depressed...

Dr. Lehrer is patient, experienced, and a clear communicator. He was my doctor for several years and I always came away from an office visit with a plan for management of my health issues. I really appreciate the care he has provided me over the years. I have retired and moved out of state, and I hope to find someone where I am going that has his qualities, both as an M.D. and a person. Ron Duvall

I think he's a good doctor. I've had several doctors over the years due to moving or doctors retiring etc. Dr. Lehrer is competent, he listens and makes good recommendations. Also, he's younger then me, so chances are, he won't retire before I stop having a need for his services.
