My elderly mother fell seriously ill in December. Our family provided her with the necessary care and support in her home for two weeks. However, after realizing she would need additional time to recover, I contacted Lou-Ann Erickson, Retirement Living Consultant at the Royal Marquis Retirement Home, to inquire about respite care. She listened patiently to our concerns and provided clear and comprehensive information about the services the Royal Marquis could offer. She and Jasna Mikulandric, the Health & Wellness Manager, expedited the admission process to ensure my mother would receive the care she required immediately. Lou-Anne and Jasna went out of their way to ensure that the transition for my mother was smooth. On the very first day, one of the PSWs, Corrina, introduced herself to my mother, gave her an emergency call pendant, and assured her that she could push the call button if she needed anything. Since then, the general manager Anne Marie, the nurses, PSWs, the front desk staff Courtney and Cathy, the kitchen staff, the maintenance staff, and the hairdresser have taken very good care of my mother. We have found them to be very helpful, pleasant and cheerful. After a one-month respite stay, Lou-Ann, Jasna, and others helped my mother seamlessly transition to residency. We very much appreciate the care and support the Royal Marquis has provided to help my mother as she continues her recovery.

After Mom passed, Dad started to decline but wouldn't consider moving from his condo to retirement living. Due to hospitalization he did enter Respite care for recovery and liked it so much he didn't leave! I asked him what he liked about staying at Royal Marquis and he smiled and said "the people!". Dad doesn't socialize much but just being around caring people who smile and address him by name made a huge difference. He started eating better and feeling better. Many of his visitors commented how good he is looking. Highly recommend!

I want to share the exceptional experience that Chartwell Royal Marquis in Windsor provided my former coach who is a resident at their property. He was recognized by the Hall of Fame for his contribution to local sports. Unfortunately, because of illness he couldn't make the ceremony. The staff at the Royal Marquis (in particular Lou Ann and Gloria) stepped up and organized an evening to honour him. They provided the snacks, drinks and a cake. About 70 of his former players, coaches that he coached against and family came to the event. It was so heartwarming to see him among all these people that he had a profound effect in their lives. He said it was one the greatest moments of his life. I can't thank the staff enough for providing this experience for him.

So happy with the respite care for my mom's knee replacement recovery. I live out of town and after having my mom at the Royal Marquis for a few days I can have peace of mind that she will be treated well after I go back home. Great Staff, clean and well maintained facilities, food is good, the soups are fantastic. The location is great, right of of EC Row and next door to a Tim Hortons and near the mall. The Staff is outstanding, many of them have been with the facility for over 10, 15 years. They are kind and welcoming, even with masks, you can tell they are smiling when they talk.
