When the first thing i hear out of the drivers mouth who i barely understood was my debit machine may not work in the south side do you have cash. Makes me wonder since it’s great connection on the south side and I’ve never had difficulties before . My first questions were: 1. Why in the hell is coop not equipping their vehicles better? 2. Bet this driver is trying to scam the company and i wonder how well they can do that every night. Shame coop, im thinking i would rather take the flat rate fancy cars to en save 20$ with your service from the airport.
If you want to actually be picked up where you are and actually get where you are going don’t us Co-op. Every day for a year now I have left work at 4pm had to book my cab 2-6 times, call dispatch 3-10 times and if I am lucky I will get home by 5:30pm. I live 8min from work by car. Why does this happen….simple most drivers can’t or won’t read the trip completely. And the new fun thing to deal with is drivers not using their GPS and heading in the complete wrong places. Last 3 days at least once the driver went to the wrong place. I was going to work this morning for example but the drive went to 3 wrong locations before getting it right. And the best of all DONT USE COOP IN THE MORNING…they will give your trip to a driver who is still at home in bed and it will take 40+ min to get your taxi no matter many times you call dispatch (who will tell you they will call the driver but they dont). And forget asking for a manager, you get put through to a discontinued number, or a voice mail that I am certain never gets checked. Just avoid this company if you can.
Thursday Oct 2, 2025. A ride from home to Roger’s place turned out to be an unforgettable event. Nervous of getting out of the taxi in a busy downtown avenue, we kind of rush out . We started making our way towards the entrance door 1/2 a block away we were about to enter Roger’s place when we heard shouting behind in an already crowd surrounding us! It was our driver that noticed my wife had left her purse inside the vehicle… oh my God what a relief. We are extremely thankful of his honesty the willingness to go out of his way to immediately fix the situation. He deserves the employee of the month! I would have given him a big fat tip if he hadn’t ran away the minute his good deed was done. To help identifying him here our trip info. Vehicle 452 Trip ID is 43609215A.
We were not in the taxi when it happened. Me and my sister were walking across the street at the intersection of 106 St and 118 Ave around 5:25 pm this evening October 17, 25. We got a walking signal to cross the road and so we did, when one of the co-op taxis turning left from 106 st to 118 ave almost hit me and my sister as we were crossing the road on 118. This driver could have killed us. He turned left into the closest left hand lane and we were in the lane right next to him, almost in his lane. It seemed that he looked like he saw us and kept going. It was ridiculous, reckless and dangerous. I held onto my sister and stopped her so she wouldn't keep walking. Very disappointed in the incapability of this cab driver to follow the rules of the road and give pedestrians right of way at a marked crosswalk. I'd never even consider using this company.
