Had the pleasure of enjoying some Happy Hour shareable and beer with my husband at King Taps earlier this week before we attended WWE Monday night RAW at Scotiabank. We were seated at a small table near the bar, though we would have preferred a booth but we're told that there wasn't enough wait staff to cover the booth seating area until a little later. Our server was very attentive and friendly. We tried 4 shareable items. My favourites were the Korean Chicken and Chicken Sliders. I also got the Sticky Toffee pudding for dessert and OMG it was by far the best I have had since I tried it at Hell's Kitchen in Las Vegas a few years back!! A thoroughly satisfying palate experience all around! The vibe was pretty cool as well. When we first arrived around 4pm there were not many people there, but it quickly filled up by the time we left. There was old school music videos (90's hip hop and pop) playing on the T.V's which was fun! I look forward to the opportunity to go back again next time I am in Toronto! The pizzas on the menu sounded delicious, so will definitely have to try one next time!

This is a group review. As a group, we love the truffle parmesan fries. It was served hot and very crunchy. The Nashville chicken was so-so. Nothing too special but the serving was big enough for one person. So, is the steak. My friend devoured it. They actually made it well -done for her since she is pregnant. The shrimp tacos' sauce was overwhelming. I hardly tasted the shrimp and the avocado below. Tacos were very filling. Nothing special with the Pasta parpadelle. We went here during lunch time and there were a lot of people and I would understand the lack of excellent customer service. Other restaurants do a lot better. We always remember the name of our servers when we do have lunch but this time, we cant even remember the face who served us. to the point, we were second guessing who approached us first. They were only attentive when it was time to pay.

King Taps First Canadian Place was fine overall but didn’t really stand out for me. The space feels pretty big and a bit sterile, so it’s not somewhere I’d go for atmosphere, but it is a great setup for parties, work lunches, or company dinners where you need lots of room. That said, the pizza was actually really tasty and better than I expected, easily the highlight of the meal. Solid option for group settings, even if it’s not the most memorable spot.

Visited this place for the first time for New Year Eve’s dinner with my husband . Staff is friendly and professional. We ordered only vegetarian food, one hummus and a pasta. Food was really good but weren’t very contented with our drinks. It could’ve been better. All in all, we had good time.
