This is the third time I've stayed here while visiting friends and family in the area. On the previous two occasions I was happy with the stay. This is an older property and they are always working on fixing it up. They've done a pretty good job so far. It's clean and relatively quiet for being right on the highway. |The maintenance people could pay a little more attention to detail as they work, but they are working on it. Well lit and it has a pool. |On my last 2 stays I delt with the manager at check-in and out. This time he wasn't there. On check-in the clerk was friendly. I did not make a reservation, but checked in for 2 nights. Things changed when I wouldn't be able to visit with all the people I had planned on, so after the first night, before check-out time I went to the clerk and explained my situation.|I was told he wasn't allowed to refund the second nights charge. I told him I was not going to pay for a night that I wouldn't be there and if I didn't get the second nights charge refunded I would be calling corporate and my credit card company to dispute the charges. I then told him I wanted to speak to the manager and after a few minutes he finally called him. At first the manager told him not to refund my money. I was finally able to talk to the manager and told him my story and when I again said I would call corporate and my credit card company, he hung up!|I asked for my receipt, and the clerk wasn't sure how to do it, but finally figured it out but all I got was an estimated costs for alternate dates.|I left and called my credit card company and while on the phone with them the clerk called my cellphone and said the manager had called back and told him how to refund the second nights costs. |When I got home from my trip, I checked my credit card and I had only been charged for one night.||I will definitely check other places to stay next time I'm in the area. Although I was fairly comfortable all 3 times I stayed here, the difficulty with cancelling the second nights stay and the possibility of being wrongly charged for a night I wasn't staying has made me rethink my choices.|I'd be wary.

I was greeted by the flap of a cardboard box which covered the bottom of the check-in window. A man in a sweaty t-shirt and a dirty ball cap came to check me in. He was pleasant and all my info was there and our room was ready, but it wasn't the best first impression. We got to the room and had trouble opening our door; the key worked fine, but the door stuck like it was warped. The immediate musty smell nearly knocked us off our feet. Everything was old -- the TV, the microwave, the furniture (I wouldn't even sit in the armchair because of the wear, the stains, and the smell!), the bathroom fixtures, the walls. The walls were stained and the edges of the wallpaper were tearing off. The wall behind the door had a hole in it where the doorknob had hit it (probably several times). The bathtub was a disgrace! Porcelain paint had been used to (try) to cover all the nicks in the tub; the caulking around the drain and edges of the tub was discolored, the fixtures were clean, I guess, but it was hard to tell because of the overall decrepit state of the bathroom. There was a hole in the wall behind the door (again where the knob had bashed in) which was covered with a piece of drywall tape (unfinished) which then had a doorknob hole in it and was stuffed with some balled-up toilet paper. The sheets were clean but the beds were saggy and made noises when we sat on them and during our turnings at night. Overall, it was not a pleasant visit and we were glad to leave the next morning.

Looking at the other reviews and pictures for this place, I believe I got one of the better rooms, if there are any better rooms. The sofa was so old that I sank to the floor when I sat on it and so filthy and full of stains. Lots of wood rot especially around the air-conditioner. To adjust the air the box is on the wall, but so high up I couldn't use it. The tub, let's just say I waited till I got home. Thankfully I only stayed one night. This place should be condemned. Cannot believe they allow it to stay open.

I was thankful to find an available room that allowed pets. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, however the cleanliness of the room was not OK. They gave us a roll away bed but when we unfolded it, there were bugs crawling around and dead bugs collected inside it. The toilet was not clean. The room smelled and the sheets and blakets were stained. This hotel could have a lot more potential if it were simply cleaned by a professional.
