Brisket was moist but could use more seasoning . Turkey was moist and seasoned well . Original and jalapeno sausage were flavorful . Jalapeno corn needs more seasoning . Greens weren’t my forte . Fried okra was ok , they need a different batter . Smoked wings need a bit more smoke flavor and need to stay in the smoker longer so they can be more tender .
Love all the paintings on the wall. The ribs, beans and turnip greens are delicious! The smoked wings are nice and juicy. Vast beer selection.
Good selection of beers, wines, and ciders. I had the ginger beer and I really liked how it wasn't too sweet and had a great real ginger taste. I didn't like that we had to find our own seats, because it was busy and we had a large party and it was very cold outside, so we had to kind of hover around looking for 2 tables together. We eventually were able to sit after about 15-20 minutes. The food was delicious, especially the jalapeno cream corn and the brisket. I liked the 3 choices of BBQ sauce. The workers were friendly and helpful. I would come back here.
The food and drinks are very good. Service is counter order and pay, and very fast. The patio and band area is my favorite sitting area there. They have outdoor propane heaters and it's much quieter there. The staff is helpful. The BBQ beef brisket is delicious, with a peppery, crispy outside, just right in moisture, not slimy, not too fatty, and even the fat was good. I got some to eat and to take home but I ate every bite and the crumbs, with tangy spicy hickory sauce, cherry soda, cactus beer. I wish they didn't play the radio so loud. It made people shout to talk over it, after being nice and quiet when we arrived.
