I do NOT recommend Arundel Mills Dental Group. I visited Arundel Mills Dental Group specifically for a sensitive tooth and expected an evaluation for a possible cavity. This dentist told me they could not determine whether a filling was needed based on the X-Rays they took and required me to undergo a debridement (deep cleaning) before they could diagnose or treat the tooth. The debridement was presented as "necessary" for diagnosing the cavity, which I later learned is not true or standard practice. After paying for the debridement and then the filling, my tooth remained very sensitive. Sought a second opinion with a new dentist, with a new dental practice, that examined my tooth. They found the sealing of my filling/bonding was improperly done, re-did it correctly, and provided before-and-after photographic evidence showing poor workmanship done by Arundel Mills Dental Group.
This establishment is unprofessional from the moment you walk in the door. I went for my preventative care cleaning today, November 20, 2025. When I walked in, there was no receptionist sitting at the front desk. A lady already waiting in the lobby told me to make myself comfortable as the staff were hiding in the back. Fifteen minutes passed before a young lady came to the front and checked me. As soon as she did, she disappeared again. My appointment was scheduled for 2:30. By 2:50 I had not been seen. The gentleman, who I am presuming is the hygienist then comes out to collect a copay to which I inform him that I don’t have one. After going back and forth with him about my dental plan and copays. I am taken to a room. The gentleman then enters the room I’m in and tells me that my appointment is being cancelled and that Mrs. Burns has to leave. Mrs. Burns comes to my room and lets me know that she has to leave and she’ll find something nice to do for me. They could have told me the entire 40 minutes I sat in the waiting room that my appointment was going to be cancelled. But instead, chose to hide in the back. And let’s not speak on the fact that two other individuals walked into the office and left without anyone even speaking to them. The unprofessionslism is out of this world and it’s a shame
I was disappointed with my recent visit to Dr. Burns. During both my examination and my son’s, I felt that the recommendations for several treatment plans were unnecessary, especially considering we were examined only six months ago by a different dentist who did not raise the same concerns. Dr. Burns did not provide clear or confident explanations about the condition of our teeth or the reasons behind the proposed treatments, which left me feeling unsure about the accuracy of the diagnosis. Additionally, the X-ray technician was rude and acted unprofessionally, which further added to our discomfort. Overall, the experience did not meet my expectations for professionalism or trustworthiness.
