I called several roofers today with an urgent request. This last rainstorm left us with water coming through the bathroom ceiling. We needed the roof fixed fast so we could then fix the ceiling before our new renters moved in. Five days away. I left a message with 5 Star and got an immediate call back from Jennifer. I explained the situation and she told me Michael could come out that day. I asked what the time frame was for a fix after inspection. She said he could probably take care of it today. TODAY. She was right. Michael came out this afternoon on his way home. He told me what he thought the problem was after I showed him the ceiling. He went on the roof and took pictures. It was not a roof problem. The caulking on the vents were all deteriorated. He fixed them all in ten minutes and gave me a great deal. I wish all our contracting needs went this way. It's clear Michael and Jennifer are good people who care about their clients. Save your time. Call them first. REALLY.

Called Michael, the owner of 5 Star Roofing on Sunday thinking I had a leak from a big storm. 5 Star had installed a new roof in 2020, 5 levels plus skylights on a Victorian home. Michael drove as soon as I called, over 2 hours on a Sunday with his son in tow, to check out my roof in the rain. Turns out Michael's roof was bone dry and in great condition almost 3 years later. What did Michael do? He stayed for 3+ hours and helped me find the pinhole leak in a pipe, helped mitigate the water damage, and advised on repair. Michael would NOT accept any money for his time. I was very happy when Michael and 5 Star Roofing first completed my roof, but I can't recommend him/his company enough for his dedication to his business and customers.
