Dealing with Maddie at the register was one of the worst experiences I’ve had as a customer. She spent the entire time gossiping and laughing with her coworker completely ignoring me. She was also on her phone constantly and it even looked like she was taking selfies of herself, instead of focusing on her job. She kept fixing her hair while I was standing there, which made it feel like helping me was the last thing on her mind. She even forgot to ask if I had a loyalty card and on top of that, was so distracted by gossiping that she forgot to wrap a glass item I purchased, completely careless with something fragile. When I got home, I also realized she had charged me twice for one item!!!!!! Unbelievable!!!! When she finally spoke to me, it felt forced, like she was pretending to care. Her attitude was cold, dismissive and unprofessional and it was clear she was more focused on socializing than assisting customers.
