Avoid Shelly Longoria at all costs!! I’m not entirely sure what her purpose is as a ‘property manager’ other than to collect money but beyond that she’s a terrible person. I was recently forced to flee my rented home due to an attack by my roommate and Shelly couldn’t be bothered to answer MULTIPLE emails with questions I had about vacating my property, slowing down my ability to get out of the house and somewhere safe. She’s also currently trying to charge me for rent for days AFTER I had vacated claiming that mailing the keys to be returned wasn’t enough to show I had vacated the property. But even if I had driven the 30 miles to drop the keys off at her office nobody would have received the keys any earlier as she only goes to her office for appointments. I hope no woman ever experiences what I did. I really really really hope that if you do you have a property manager who will treat you like a human being and not slow down the process of you getting away. Again, avoid Shelly Longoria at all costs. No house rental is worth it, I promise.

I am writing this review to formally express my concern regarding the non-refund of my $2,400 security deposit after vacating the property. I fulfilled all lease obligations, left the unit in good condition, and complied with the required move-out procedures. Despite this, the property management has failed to return my deposit within the time frame required by law. I have attempted to resolve the matter through direct communication, but have received no satisfactory response or justification. This behavior appears to be in violation of tenant rights and state security deposit laws. I strongly caution prospective tenants to be aware of this issue before entering into any lease agreement with this company.

Awful company to rent through. We were forced to live next to drug dealers and constantly called the cops over it and gave them police reports of those callouts and they still did not evict the tenants next door. They only care about money, not your well being. We could smell drugs through our side of the duplex and it was unbearable. Unlivable conditions. Then when we decided to move out prematurely due to the living conditions, they wouldn’t let us out of the lease and said WE were the ones in violation, even though they did not provide livable conditions. They never did anything about the neighbors trash piling up every week, on the lawn too, dogs that they had and didn’t pay a pet fee for because their dog got into our yard and I called the property management and they were unaware of any animals on the property. Austin landmark was completely oblivious and did not do their due diligence. There’s no wonder they can’t rent our old place and why they lowered the rent. It’s a horrible management company. They also never returned any part of our deposit and charged us for pre existing damages that we noted and have proof of in our move in conditions form. They even charged us for lawn damage that was done by a third party company they hired because there was a leak on our property that wasn’t even our leak. It was a pipe on our yard but it was a pipe that was to the other tenants property of the duplex. The company they hired ripped up the ground and left an orange cone over a hole and called it a day. Another leak transpired shortly after that again pertaining to the neighbors part of the duplex but flooded our yard.

Extremely disappointed with the communication—or rather, the lack thereof—from this leasing office. We noticed a large crack forming in our garage ceiling and promptly reached out to have it assessed. Since then, only one person has come to look at it, but there has been no follow-up. It’s been months, and despite reaching out numerous times, the ceiling continues to cave in and is now nearly at the point of collapsing. I have left emails and voicemails, but received no response. When I called the emergency maintenance line listed as option #5 on their phone system, the person who answered said they don’t even work with ALPS. This is extremely concerning. We truly enjoy our home, but the careless management makes it increasingly difficult to do so. If you value communication and timely responses to serious maintenance issues, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for a leasing office.
