Customer experiences
The doctor was absolutely amazing! Very explanatory! Very calm! He made my son feel comfortable with the things he has going on :-) He then reach out and asked if we would allow him to pray! Which is not common anymore and it is so solely appreciated! What a wonderful bedside manner and what a wonderful blessing it has been to have met him! Ty Doctor!
I was just discharged today from Avita Hospital in Ontario, OH. I had my right hip replaced, This has been an excellent experience from my first visit with Dr. Foster and his team over a year ago. At that time they took a conservative approach, with therapy and then injections every 3 months which worked and alleviated my pain. However, when the last injection failed to produce the same results, it became obvious that replacement was needed. From that time his team was the BEST, preparing me for the successful procedure on Tuesday morning. Within 2 hours of waking up, I was walking the hallway on a walker. After therapy, that afternoon, the pain was actually less than the pain I was experiencing before the operation. The last 2 days that pain is being handled by just Tylenol. Dr Foster warned me this morning that the pain block he uses would wear off by this weekend and provided additional prescriptions to “stay ahead of the pain”. I cannot imagine a better team or place to have had this procedure. From the receptionist at the main interest to the nurses, nurses aids, the PT and OT team, the Respiratory staff, the Phlebotomist staff, the dining staff, and the cleaning staff, Dr Foster’s team and Dr Beal, everyone was awesome., not of my questions was left unanswered. I know where I will go if I need any other joint replaced! Highly recommend!
Sitting here 5 hours now. No meds. No help. Nothing. This is the worst hospital in the world. Lazy, lazy, lazy! Better off at dead central. Follow up Oct 3rd. I received a call from a VERY kind women who spoke with me about the incident. This has changed my opinion on Avita as a whole. I'm not happy with what happened but I do feel like Avita heard me. They actually cared enough to see what happened. Update My chart has multiple condtrodictions after looking again. This is situation keeps getting stranger. I think I'll be speaking to my insurance company and my attorney about medical malpractice and falsifying my medical documents. They're claiming on my chart that they issued paperwork and gave it to me, which never happened, I left acting asking for papers, my fiancee also went to the desk to be told they don't give out papers and we would have to get this information via MyChart, on top of several other condtrodictions (doctor stating no pain or swelling then later in the same document state I had pressure where I stated. This seems to show the staff covering up the fact that they treated me poorly. Hopefully this doesn't take all thqt but when you MAY be talking about cancer or cancer forming growths etc you'd think MEDICAL STAFF would be more worried about helping you and not worried about clocking out exactly at 4. Who knows what kind of damage is being done right now in my body steming from the lack of help from this hospital. Why make it seem like someone was able to hand me papers in person and speak with me about the findings, because they frankly didn't happen and a simple examination of the time like via security cameras would prove my point.
It was not actually the echo cardiogram itself. The tech that did the test was great. My problem was with billing. They showed me a co-pay of $415.00. I called United Health Care 3 times and they said my copay was $130.00. I talked to Billing 3 times and they said they don't contact insurances. UHC tried calling the billing dept but either they didn't answer or they got an answering machine. I was debating on just not having the echo because of the price but it was important to have it done. I am hoping when claim is submitted the bill will be resolved. It is very upsetting to have to go through this.
