St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital

I genuinely cannot speak highly enough of this hospital, I am truly so grateful for the nurses and the doctor. My mom needed stitches so I took her to the hospital in London and after waiting six hours we left without being seen. I ended up taking her to this hospital and they were able to give her stitches and get us out within two hours!! The bathrooms and waiting room were very clean, the nurses and janitors were very kind, and the doctor remained calm and collected despite being the only doctor on shift - props to him and your entire team! Thank you!!

I'd love to know what this hospital has done so that other hospitals can do it - everyone working in the ER was efficient, personable, and thorough... I went in with a fairly significant knee injury, and from entering the doors to diagnostics, consult and a temporary remedy until I can get the surgery needed, the time spent was just over 2.5 hours! That's unheard of in hospitals in this province!! ( side note: there was also guy named Kyle working in the ER who has a stellar moustache and good humour, so that also added to the overall experience!)....

Took our 7 yr old daughter in last night because she couldn't sleep. She was experience stomach pain. Doctor said he'd fax over meds to help relieve her discomfort to our pharmacy. He assured me that there would be instructions on the proper dosage and made sure he knew which pharmacy he'd send the prescription to. Well, we called the pharmacy the morning after and nothing has come in. The pharmacy called other places and even the ER to find out. They found out he never wrote anything out. I just don't understand the need to lie. It made our day more frustrating to just get our daughter comfortable. Now we're waiting for a different doctor from the hospital to look over her charts to prescribe something for her. Why lie and make everything more difficult? Why the false reassurance? I'm so disappointed.
