A. K.We were so excited to visit this 3 Michelin restaurant. Absolutely ingenious take on Korean food. You can tell A LOT of thought went into every single thing on the table. I don't even like seafood but as it turns out, I don't like bad seafood; I like Jungsik seafood. We are slow eaters so with all the courses + supplement dish we ordered, it took us almost 4 hrs to get through the course. There were a few dishes that we thought were a bit too salty. (Edited: another friend that recently visited also told me she thought it was too salty, so it's not just us! - thus the 4 stars). Vibes were a bit more casual than other Michelin starred restaurants we've been to. So you can come in a T-shirt (but also you absolutely dress up if you want to). We did wine pairing and with all the seafood, most wines are white. Wines were a bit of a hit or miss for me, so next time I'd rather order a bottle that I like than do the wine pairing. Excellent service as you would expect.

They found really creative ways to infuse the Korean tastes in each dish. Honestly, today's visit was even better than when I came 1.5 years ago. Service was impeccable, and each dish was amazing, with my favorites posted below.

hatedhereticAmazing, i sat at the bar for the ala-carte; the banchan was amazing!! Do not sleep on this; the octopus was fork tender with a lovely crunch - the gochujang aioli was perfect, not overly hot by any means, gave a perfect amount of subtle heat anyone can appreciate. Sea urchin was delectable with the add bonus of the puffed rice for a tasty crunch; the yellowtail gimbop is other worldly, rolled rice mixed with their kimchee which seemed more sweet than spicy, the yellowtail just kind of melts in your mouth, but the crunch of the nori reminded me of bugak it was toasted so perfectly. Carrot cake was cute, eat it with the ice cream to take the sweetness down and the red bean cakes were delicious, could've eaten a bag of them. Closed out with their pettifors, adorable and packed with flavor, soooooo good!
