C'est La Vie Hair Salon London Ontario

Had an appointment for 11:00am (somewhere around those lines can’t remember exactly), when I arrive, she starts my hair and about 30 minutes in, a man comes in for 6 cornrows. She lets me know that it was “double booked” and she’s going to have to stop doing my hair so that she can do his. I sat there waiting for about 45 minutes till she finished. I guess this should have been my first red flag. My appointment was for crochet braids, when she did the braid down it was done in a extremely weird way that I have never saw done before making it so hard to take down (took out after 4 days), and was no where near flat enough looking to pull off the style. Before we begin the actual crochet she lets me know that it doesn’t look like I have enough hair with me for a whole head which worried me and I expressed I didn’t want it to look weird or patchy. She convinced me she could do it in a way that will make it look full and not unfinished. What she really should have done if she was a good hairdresser is tell me that with the amount of hair I have the outcome will not be desirable to literally anyone on this earth. She finished way too fast which I should of caught on to, but looking in the mirror it actually looked very full and I was satisfied enough. When I got home and as a couple days past and I wanted to do some styles with my hair, I noticed huge chunks where you could literally see the braids underneath when I simply moved my hair around or lifted some pieces up. Overall terrible work and professionalism. Not to mention she, without my consent or even disclosure, posted a video of me, my full face and hair on her Tik Tok platform that she made me follow during the appointment. Once I saw her post, I politely messaged her asking to take it down. There was no reply and it wasn’t until I called the store, that another lady in the salon was able to accommodate my request. That’s even if there is two (or more) women in that salon. I think she might have pretended she was someone else’s when I called because she knew what she did.

I would highly recommend this salon for anybody who has any type of hair. The hair stylist was extremely knowledgeable. Highly detail oriented and educated on all hair types and providing care regarding your specific type of hair. Very respectful, quiet salon. The hair stylist used high quality products and my hair was extremely dead before her application of products. I was able to feel the original texture before the destruction of hair dye and other hair products. I left very much satisfied and will be returning consistently. Friendly, professional and knowledgeable on my specific hair. I got box braids as well as extension of my natural hair. Incredible results. My scalp renewed to its natural colour and I was left with proper instructions for management between appointments. Hope this helps others with searching for a knowledgeable and trustworthy hair stylist, and that’s regarding all hair types. Thanks for all you do!

Amazing service! I’ve used her service twice now, and each time has been excellent. She’s incredibly skilled and fast — I got a wash, had my old hair loosened, and got neat cornrows with extensions, all done in under 2 hours! Her work is neat and professional, and she truly knows her craft when it comes to Black hair. Highly recommend — try her and you definitely won’t be disappointed!
