Doris ChanAfter watching Eat Britain TV show, I discovered Cafe Gorge is the original cheddar cheese maker In Cheddar. The food is excellent. I had the cheese afternoon tea and my partner had pastie. My afternoon tea is with cheese scone, carmelised onion jam and cave cheddar flakes on top. So delicious 😋. Staff was friendly and there is sitting area outside by a stream. It was such a lovely experience. I urge all visitors to check this cafe and the shop next door to buy some cheese and Scrumpy cider. 👍
Lizzy (Lizzy)The Gorge Cafe is by far the best cafe in cheddar and must not be missed by anyone visiting. As a local and a regular visitor I can say every time I come here I have a lovely experience. The food is not only the tastiest and delicious I’ve ever had at a cafe, the service is always really quick and the staff are always so friendly. I take all my friends here and they always talk about how good the food and service is. Not only this but it is in the most beautiful location with the river flowing just outside and the stunning view of the Gorge. Cannot recommend enough ❤️. Highly recommend the jacket potatoes and the toasties too 🥰.
