I got a flat on my bike in the middle of Gatineau park. Not the Sunday ride I was hoping for but all things considered, I am satisfied with the outcome. Brendan showed up and we got the bike secured. Super nice, professional and also affordable.

Not impressed with this towing company! I had a flat tire a few days ago and attempted to put the spare on myself, I had my spare under the car when lifting it myself to ensure that if my car fell it would fall onto the spare tire. The car did indeed fall and landed on the spare tire thankfully. I then called this company to have someone come do it for me. The boy who showed up had horrible professionalism calling my partner and I “yo” and not to mention poor skills in raising my car properly considering it was on a HILL which he even mentioned was the reason my car had fallen the first time in the first place. He had no props in place and did not even have my car emergency brake on. He than began raising my car by the control arm since my spare tire was covering the access point for the jack to be placed. Whe he began raising the car more to remove the tire and place the other jack my car then fell AGAIN but this time right on top of his jack and this time caused damages to the side lip of my car and is now cracked with a big slit in it. I spoke with management and they’re blaming me saying the damage was already there when the driver showed up. I have photos of the drivers jack wedge under my car right wher HE caused the damage. Not to mention, when I asked the driver what we are going to do about the damage to the side of my car he began blaming me and saying it’s not his problem, began raising his voice to me where I had to tell him to CALM DOWN. I’m really not impressed with any of this. This company will not cover any of the damages that were done to my car. The drivers name was Brendan. And as you can see in there other poor one star reviews they’re always in denial of the poor service they give and blame the customers. No ownership of anything bad they do. DO NOT USE THEM!

Matthew was absolutely amazing! He showed up quickly, was professional, friendly, and went above and beyond to make a stressful situation so much easier. You can tell he really cares about helping people, not just doing a job. Honest, reliable, and genuinely kind — if you ever need a tow, ask for Matthew!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had with any service. These people do nothing but reinforce the stereotype that tow truck companies are crooks looking to squeeze money out of you however they can. I called to have my work van towed after an accident. The woman who answered the phone never once mentioned that the fact it was in an accident would matter—or that any special forms or fees might apply. Nothing. She just took the call. When the driver arrived, he asked if the van had been in an accident. I told him yes, and suddenly he said I needed to sign a consent form. Since I was at work and the vehicle was unattended, I told him I couldn’t sign anything. He said without it, he couldn’t tow the van. Fine—I told him to leave it, and I’d get someone else. Imagine my shock when I later got a call that he had towed it anyway—without my consent—and dropped it at the repair shop. So much for “industry standards.” Apparently, stealing my vehicle was just fine as long as they could bill me later. When I called the office, the same operator told me she “couldn’t be bothered” to ask if it was an accident because she gets too many calls. Are you kidding me? If this is such an important requirement, why wouldn’t you make it part of your standard questions? Is it an accident tow? Will you be with the vehicle? Are you aware of higher fees? None of these basic, obvious questions were asked. Instead, I was told I had no choice but to pay nearly $400 for an “accident tow”—a fee I’ve never once had to pay with other companies in similar situations. They held my work truck hostage until I paid up, fully knowing I needed it to finish the season. This company showed zero accountability, zero transparency, and absolutely no respect for their customers. They took my vehicle without consent, hit me with an inflated fee, and then acted surprised I was upset. There are plenty of towing companies out there—choose any other one. I’ve used Gervais in the past and they’ve never let me down. I regret not waiting for them this time, and I certainly won’t make that mistake again.

Canadian Towing is a towing service.
