I started seeing Matthew at Cedar Tree in July 2018, and to say the work changed my life would be an understatement. What I thought I was struggling with turned out to be the lie I was telling myself. Matthew didn’t just help me sort it out, he helped me see it clearly, and with compassion. His direct but deeply supportive style gave me exactly what I needed: someone who could challenge me, hold space for the mess, and guide me toward something better. Through our work, I experienced radical personal transformation. I see my life differently now. And in the best way possible. People say therapy is about healing, but I’ve come to believe it’s also about truth. And when you’re ready to face it, everything starts to change. That’s what happened for me. These days, I rarely need to go back, and that’s a good thing. Because a great therapist helps you get to the place where you don’t need one anymore (at least in the same way).
