Customer experiences
A great casual seafood restaurant. We visited on a Tuesday and ordered the cream crab soup and fried calamari for appetizer, the stuffed shrimp and wolf fish for entree. All delicious with half priced wine, can't beat that. Then we came back with more friends on Thursday for their Thursday lobster special: $31 for a 1 and 1/2 pound lobster, well worth the visit.
Overall experience I’d say it was 10/10. Service was pretty straight forward but very friendly. Now the food… my goodness it was very delicious. Cream of crab was creamy with a spicy hint that it makes you want more and more. Now, the fried calamari did not disappoint. So delicious!
I had ordered to the crab cake special and a tiramisu to go (normally my fiancé and I dine in but I just got off work late) and it might actually be my new fave meal. We love their pastas and pizza but this meal might have just became my new fave bc it was delicious. The sauce, the crab cake itself, the garlicky mashed potatoes and the tiramisu were all just out of this world and we will continue to keep coming back. Staff is also friendly every time we’ve been here. So happy we live 5 mins away bc it’s def one of our go to fave places!
Amazing seafood! Took my wife here for our 10yr anniversary. Was skeptical at first because we tried a different "well reviewed" seafood place last year for our anniversary and almost passed this up because the other seafood place was terrible. Im glad we decided to be adventurous because it was totally worth it. The location is a bit odd but that adds to it's charm. The interior decor is very cozy and vintage. Gave me mannequin pis vibes (which I love). I started with the filet mignon satay. It was cooked to order perfectly with a nice sear, side of cucumber salad and pan seared plantains. My wife had the 6 giant oysters, which were the biggest cleanest oysters 🦪 I've ever seen. They were delicious. She also ordered the grilled ceaser salad which was larger than expected and equally fantastic. For the mains I got the 1 1/2lb lobster 🦞 which was super fresh and very fairly priced (market rates). It came with a side of veggies. I was so full after the lobster I couldn't eat another bite. The wife chose the house special linguini with clams and ate every bit. Somehow she still had room for more and finished with a coffee and 2 cannolis. She just have mentioned it was our anniversary when making the reservation because they treated us to complimentary champagne at the end of the meal which I thought was nice touch. Overall easily the best seafood restaurant I've eaten at in the Gaithersburg/Rockville/Bethesda area. Such a hidden gem! Very surprised I'd not heard of this place before. Couldn't have asked for more- food, atmosphere and service were all top notch. Definitely an anniversary to remember. We'll be back. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a quality, non pretentious seafood restaurant without having to drive all the way into DC!
