I need to leave a review praising the nursing team that literally nursed my son back to health. We had a recent RSV bronchiolitis scare with my 6 week old and Marquita- The respiratory therapist, Kara, Joan, Ayane, and Katya were everything my son needed. They would come into the room at night and see me finally closing my eyes and they'd hold my baby, give him breathing treatments, change his diaper, everything! Marquita has 4 kids and she helped me so much by teaching me ways to hold my baby and comfort him. She helped me advocate for myself and when I didn't, she advocated for me! If anything ever happens to my son again, I am going to drive out of my way 50 mins away, just to be back with this team. I love them. The pic is Marquita advocating for me when I couldn't.

How is it ethical to deny a child care because their primary insurance is out of network? We saw a physician in the pediatric neurology department in 2021 for a second opinion, we have 3 insurance providers and our primary insurance is out of network with this hospital but our secondary insurance covered this bill in full. We never even received a bill as it was covered immediately. We were again referred back to the same doctor last month, made our appointment waited two weeks for that appointment and was called the night before our scheduled appointment to be told our appointment for our son was canceled due to our insurance being out of network. 1. Why in the world is it ok to call the night before a scheduled appointment that has been scheduled for two weeks to cancel it? 2. They would not even look back at our 2021 visit with the same provider to see it was immediately covered in full by our secondary insurance and that the bill for this new visit would get covered. They wouldn’t even go and verify our coverage. Isn’t this the job of the billing and scheduling department? Fast forward to today, we have spoken to so many departments giving us the run around who say they are “sorry” for our experience only to do nothing to fix it or reprimand the schedulers who treated us with such disrespect. I’ve filed a complaint only to be treated the same way. This specialist is an absolutely amazing doctor but this hospital and it’s ascendancy is appalling and unethical.
