Chimborazo: Where My Taste Buds Were Set Ablaze If my palate were a fireworks show, Chimborazo would be the grand finale—the moment when everything explodes in flavor, leaving you dazzled and slightly emotional. This Ecuadorian gem doesn’t just serve food, it ignites taste buds with the force of a culinary volcano. From the moment I took a bite of the llapingachos, those cheesy potato patties brought the heat like a dance battle between my senses and pure bliss. The chirrizzo was sent from a heavenly dream that wrapped my tongue in a warm, tropical embrace before setting it free to salsa into the sunset. And don’t get me started on the hot sauce. This is not just a condiment; it’s an initiation into the halls of spicy greatness. It whispered sweet nothings before delivering a slap of heat so profound it had me questioning my life choices—but in a good way! Chimborazo’s flavors aren’t just delicious; they are a controlled burn of happiness, leaving you craving more while wondering whether you just experienced enlightenment through food. Would I go back? Absolutely. Would I wear flame-retardant clothing next time? No! 🔥 10/10—fire on my palate, and joy in my soul 🔥

Went during date night (Wednesday) unexpectedly and the atmosphere was pretty nice with candles and ambient lighting. Service was good but nothing out of the ordinary. The apps we got were the yuca frita fries which were unique and tasted great and the cheesy potatoes which were okay. My entree was the seco de carne and it tasted pretty average for me. The meat was indeed tender but pretty dry despite the sauce around it. A bit on the pricey side but it is one of the more unique food spots around. Overall not a bad experience!

Went here for date night wanting to try something new. We were both very impressed with the quality of the food and service! Our server was very personable and definitely convinced us to come back again. I will give my personal recommendation for the limeade and sangria slushie for drink options.

I visited last November, and ordered the shrimp and the special, which was fish and scallop with coconut sauce. The ceviche was not great, basically just sour shrimp with crispy corn and plantain fritters. The special was really nice, especially the scallops and the sauce, which was extremely rich and creamy. Overall, it was very nice food and I would recommend, just not the ceviche.
