I was pretty happy with Dr. Nicola but after how they just treated me, i can't recommend them. The issue is that they made a policy decision to stop accepting ODSP. Instead they pushed me to apply for the new Canadian Dental Care Plan, which I was willing to do, but I found out that I might not be eligible since I will be covered under a school health care plan for the next few years. And instead of trying to work with me to resolve the issue (and maybe just take my school insurance as it's a main-line company) they instead just brushed me off. What's worse, is I had a cleaning appointment schedule for months and she just canceled it on me with only a week to go. I had worked to keep my calendar free for that appointment and Dr. Nicola's office didn't even have the decency to cover it or let me know long before this. I am baffled why this office wants to alienate their patients, and the only thing I can think of is that the CDCP must have higher rates than ODSP. I researched the CDCP just now and they will work with people who are covered under both plans, so I can't see how Dr. Nicola is losing any money here. Seriously, the state of the health care system in Canada is terrible these days. Most doctors now are just concerned about numbers and not people. I won't give Dr. Nicola any more business and I will steer people in my neighborhood clear of his practice.

My girlfriend goes there and recommends it. They take ohip and no cancellation fees They have are very kind polite office staff and the dentist is smart understanding and everything you could want from a dentist. You never have to wait too long to get in to see the dentist and they don't judge if you have a lot of dental work needed or are homeless and struggling.Best dentist she has ever been too I'm sitting here in the dental office writing down her comments that I just heard her say to the dentist and the office staff. Thank you to everyone here. Expect a Christmas card from my girlfriend I almost want to get a cavity so I have an excuse to come in here will definitely be coming in twice a year for check ups

I was told they will have appointments available before the end of the month for finishing off 4 cavities and a check up but surprisingly the doctor when first met me did X-rays and normal check up without cleaning then postponed my cleaning appointment which gave me no time to go do my cavities at the university.
