Cigna ask you to pay immediately your one year contract…… and then no more news… I still didn’t receive any news from them… portal details which could help me to get a digital card….. very bad after sales service…..

Hmm,..well I was considering it, but now, probably not. I can't believe that Cigna uses the same canned message as a "response" to all these complaints. I also can't believe that Cigna management is so out of touch with how badly they are being reviewed online that they keep sending the same canned message. So glad I discovered these reviews.

STAY AWAY FROM THUS COMPANY! I’ll keep this short…buying the plan was super easy, almost too easy! The policy was used one time for a reimbursement of a $60 flu shot. Now back in the states, we have no use for the policy. There are NO OPEN CLAIMS on the policy yet Cigna refuses to cancel the policy until the one year completion. They are requiring us to pay another 8 months for an international policy NOT BEUNG USED all because there was a $60 reimbursement for a shot. BUYER BEWARE! These people will take your money and run with it! DO NOT SIGN ANY CONTRACTS WITH THEM, as they give you no way out once you do. My credit card company has placed a block on them and I plan on having them FULLY investigated! SCAM!!!!

Do yourself a favor and stay away from this insurance company. It's not worth the headache. I'm not big on posting reviews but I rely on them and I wish I had checked Google reviews before purchasing my insurance. I had a very unprofessional encounter with Neil G. Thomson, which has sullied my perception of Cigna as a brand - not sure why I had to correspond with him , since I had purchased the insurance from Joseph Curran from their Sales department. To summarize my most recent experience with Cigna, I had been paying my monthly subscription of ~$215 for 10 months and never had a claim till I had an emergency treatment for $300, which was declined but later approved after I pushed back on their policy. After having a conversation with their customer care, I learned that their services do not provide the basic insurance / peace of mind I require for my travel, and requested a cancellation of the policy. I was transferred to Neil G. Thomson (who claimed there was no one else I could speak to) and this turned out to be the worst experience yet with Cigna, as he practically accused me of trying to take advantage of Cigna's claim process by deciding to cancel. Let's do the math here - I have been paying Cigna for about 10 months, which is ~$2,150 in total and my claim was less than $300. Who is taking advantage of whom? After my encounter, I do not intend to utilize any future services with Cigna as the call was entirely unprofessional and manipulative. I also got no response, after several attempts at a follow-up.
