I do not recommend using this service if you are a business professional looking for a courier in the Houston area. I had to call the direct line because the courier had not yet picked up the package after the 1.5 hour pickup window passed. I don't believe a driver was even assigned until after the pickup window. I was told by the woman who answered the phone that the courier actually was headed to pickup up the package and was 15-30 minutes away from the pickup destination. The tracker was not updating so I called an hour after the first call and was told the driver was "stuck in traffic" downtown and had not yet reached the pickup location...This was very different from what I was told on the previous call. The pickup location was maybe 10 minutes outside of downtown and still in the loop. I received no updates about this until I called. I was initially told that the courier would arrive slightly late, only to learn the courier really had no plans on picking up or delivering. If you are a business professional or working with a deadline, I highly recommend you find a different accredited service that communicates and is able to follow through and not CitiCouriers.
Do not schedule a 1-3 hour delivery with them. They will not get it done. We scheduled a 1 1/2 hour pickup from the Heights to deliver to Bellaire. The website gave a pickup window of 10:25-11:10; they didn't assign a driver till 11:15 and the GPS map had that driver in The Woodlands. When I called, the person I spoke with put me on hold and contacted our driver. She then told me the driver would arrive to pick up within 15-20 minutes. An hour later, they still had not picked up the delivery, so now this is 2 1/2 hours after I placed the order for a 1 1/2 hour delivery and it hadn't even been picked up yet. Our company prefers citicouriers because their drivers are uniformed, but this kind of service is ridiculous. The excuse is always the same, "We are shorthanded on drivers today." In my experience, the best service with CitiCouriers is to schedule for a morning pickup on the next day and it usually works out better. They shouldn't even offer 1 1/2 - 3 hour window delivery times placed after 10:00 am because they never happen in that window.
I have been using Citicouriers for years. Their prices are reasonable and their service is really good and really reliable. If there is an issue they take care of it. We generally ship out 1-3 shipments a week and the packages get there every time. If you ship out anything that is a small to largish boxes/cases then it is far better to use Citi than ups/fedex for anything in the greater houston area. I have sent packages to Conroe, Webster, Sealy and all in between and they match what you are shipping so if you are shipping something small they will send a car and if you have more then they will send a van. Oh and Jackie is great!
