Clarion Hotel BWI Airport Arundel Mills

The first room they gave us smelled like old wet rags and mold as soon as you enter the room. The front desk was gracious and polite, and immediately changed our room. The second room was better but there was still the hint smell of mold in the bathroom. There are signs in the caulking of the built in soap dish and walls of forming mold. The shower curtain should be replaced or at least disinfected cuz it was also hinting of an old wet rag smell.

Had a reservation for room with 2 double beds. The woman at the front desk did not stand up to greet me when I arrived and then scolded me for having to lift the screen to read what I was being asked to sign. First room had no refrigerator. When I asked, I was told I would need to change rooms. Since I was by myself, the desk clerk said I should go to a room she had with one king bed. That room has no hair dryer. I am being told someone will bring me one tonight or tomorrow. The hotel also added an additional amount onto my bill without telling me since this is a more expensive room. (Clerk's choice, not mine.) I am now being told she will "leave a note for the manager in the morning" and if that is not okay, she will cancel my reservation. Blackmail!!!

If I could give it 0 stars, I would. Our team booked a block of rooms, of which, the hotel gave us the worst ones. Double beds, only 2 towels for 4 people, and stained linens. That's not even the worst of it. Used condoms, dirty bedding, and toiletries left behind by the previous occupants. In attempts to get more towels and sheets we were told that they "didn't have the key" to the housekeeping closet and that there was a wedding party there, and they have all the towels, there were none left in the hotel to accommodate the rest of us. The breakfast comes at a cost, $30/person! Say what?! For the same breakfast foods you get for free anywhere else. We tried to use the pool, hours are 10-8, no lifeguard on duty. The gate remained locked up past 10, so we asked about it. Front desk said lifeguard doesnt get there til 12. But then why is there a sign that says swim at your own risk, no lifeguard on duty. I used the gym. The equipment is dated, they are missing weights, nothing around to clean the equipment with. Cobwebs and dust everywhere. Treadmill didn't work. Machines present should be replaced. And the worst of it, I now have a rash on my body. My doctor can't figure out why or what it is, and it isn't responding to steroids. Terrible stay. Go sleep in your car or pitch a tent in the parking lot.
