I recently applied for a position at Columbia Aurus, hoping to join the team for the upcoming Aroya Cruises. With 7 years of experience in the maritime industry and over 15 years in hospitality, I believed my qualifications were well-suited for the roles advertised. Unfortunately, despite my extensive background and multiple attempts to reach out, I have not received any response or acknowledgment regarding my application. It’s disheartening to experience such a lack of communication from a reputable company. As someone who values professionalism, I expected a more transparent and respectful hiring process, especially given the importance of timely feedback for prospective employees. While I understand that hiring processes can take time, I encourage Columbia Aurus to improve their recruitment communication. Simple updates or feedback would go a long way in enhancing the candidate experience. Despite this setback, I still hold the company in high regard and hope for improvements in this area.
