Comfort Inn & Suites Coralville - Iowa City near Iowa River Landing

I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Ames for four nights, and overall, it was a very pleasant experience. The hotel feels modern and well-maintained, and my check-in was smooth. I made good use of the gym, which has new, high-quality equipment. The pool is right next to the gym, and there’s also a spa—perfect for relaxing after a workout. Their breakfast spread was great, with eggs, sausages, and home fries, and the lobby restaurant and bar were very nice. I had dinner there once—the chicken with grains was tasty, and the service was quick and friendly. The lobby area is spacious, and the bar had a nice social atmosphere with a few guests hanging out. There’s also complimentary coffee available throughout the day, which was a nice touch. Parking is convenient, with spots all around the property. One small note: if you use a contactless key, it may only open your room door—not other doors like the gym, pool, or side entrances. You might need a physical key card for those. Overall, it’s a comfortable, clean, and well-run hotel—a great place to stay when you’re in Ames. Highly recommended!

We stayed here for a family wedding. I first want to mention Nicole at the front desk. She was always smiling, friendly and willing to help. Thank you Nicole!!! Great location. Clean. Lobby was spacious. Breakfast options were delicious. I gave the rooms a 4 star because I wish I was offered the option of a walk in shower. Other than that, great stay and fun wedding!

Venture to the spacious, clean and secure environment of the Hilton Garden Inn in Ames. The hotel is reasonably priced with beautiful curb side appeal. The daily breakfast is standard buffet which is average, but the choices are more than enough to help you get your business day going. The linens and bedding are comfortable with front door parking spaces for Diamond Members. The professional and courteous staff, in my opinion , lives up to the brand.
