I was sent here by my Dr on Wednesday because of my appendix. As soon as I was taken back a male nurse comes to my door, sees me holding my stomach and starts laughing and says is that your appendix? Do you still have your ovaries? He treated me as if I was there for medication (i didn't ask for any nor did i get any until after my surgery) and I diagnosed myself. Another female nurse had to tell him to get out and leave me alone. They ended up doing a CT scan, found out I had appendicitis, had to go straight up to surgery. All my other nurses were great. Staff in surgery was amazing. Just that one nurse can give you a poor experience. If you want to be arrogant and treat patients like crap then maybe a nurse isn't the job for you.

I had my baby a few days ago upstairs in L&D. It was a great experience, everyone was super helpful and encouraging. My husband and I loved the support from everyone, especially a nurse that goes by the nickname 'Jed.' She was so kind and has this infectious, bubbly personality, and I actually had the privilege of her assisting in Adonay's birth. I had planned on writing her a handwritten note before we left, however it slipped my mind due to baby stuff. But seriously Jed, you were amazing, thank you so much for everything that you did for us. It was a truly magical experience, and we hope to see you again should we have future children. ❤️

I was very pleased with the care I was given, from the initial consultation on through surgery and recovery. There was a bit of a hiccup the day of the procedure. I had been told at least twice that the procedure had been rescheduled to 4:30 pm., but apparently this was incorrect. I left my house in Fort Wayne right on time to get there by 3:00 pm. Imagine my shock when I was on I-69 and got a call from the hospital asking me if I was still planning on coming in, because everyone was waiting on me! Also, my friend Maggie, who came that night to pick me up and drive me to our motel, told me she was given a hard time by the person she had to check in with. According to her, the gentleman placed a call and then told her whoever it was he spoke to "explained everything better" than she did. I'm not really sure what there was to "explain" about my being on the OB Floor, and needing to be picked up.... I am only 4 days out from the procedure, and my pain seems to be getting somewhat worse, not better. This concerns me a little, but the Ibuprofen I was prescribed so far is doing its job, so I'm not too worried just yet. Oh, and the food was actually quite good. Fruit plate, garlic bread, and carrot cake totally on point. Chicken breast was one of the best I've ever had. I wish to convey my thanks and gratitude to Dr. Wisler, Dr. Anderson, and to all the nurses who cared for me.
