Customer experiences
Today I went to the hospital to get my daughter's blood done and it was horrible. They poked 2-3 times in each arm because they would a vein and it actually not be there. they got a little blood but not enough for the certain thing she needed lab work done. my daughter is 9 months old and my heart is broken for her. they finally went to I guess their "last resort" and poked her finger. when we got done my daughters arms were bruising immediately. As I was putting my daughter in her car seat someone drop a vile of blood all over the floor. In my mind you just poked my daughter several times and you drop the little bit of blood she was able to give out of her small body. When I was leave the room they all said thank you and were sorry. I was so mad and have been mad about it all day because it wasn't right.
Great staff and great Doctors! My daughter had came in with a broken arm and they never left her side. They made my 7yo extremely comfortable and even got her to laugh while she was in so much pain. Doctor was extremely comforting and the x-ray tech was great with her and gave her stickers! Nurses were absolutely amazing. ❤️
I went in for abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, and loss of appetite. I was diagnosed with a uti without doing any labs except a urine sample and they said I had a uti but when i went to anderson hospital the next day they ran multiple labs and even a ct scan and ultrasounds then it turns out i never had a uti, i was dehydrated and my liver enzymes were elevated and i was also diagnosed with mono. So staunton do better!!
My father was having a mental break down. Some kind of phycotic episode last night. We called police and paramedics. They told us they would hold him 72 hours and after about 5 hours released him saying he wasn't manic anymore. He was clearly manic still and very scary. They said he wasn't a threat which clearly he was because he's not in his right mind. They released him anyway. The hospital staff was rude when I called up to ask questions and told me to call Locust who did his evaluation for information. Locust was extremely kind and said that the hospital should have given us more information. The nurse Kayla told me and my fiance with my mother on speaker phone that they would get him a room a Kettler but 5 hours later released him. They lied to us to basically get him out of the hospital. My family went through an absolute traumatic tragedy yesterday and we were told we were liars and the nurse never said that. Mental health is never taken as strongly as it should be. We will never use this hospital again and noone else should either. The staff is absolutely horrible with giving information that isn't correct or no information at all. My dad clearly needs help and they dismissed him and my entire family.
Community Hospital of Staunton is a general hospital.
