I stayed here with my husband and parents for my birthday and had a lovely stay. The staff were welcoming and friendly one member of staff went above and beyond was a young lady in the restaurant called Heidi. The restaurant was very quiet and we got chatting to Heidi, I mentioned it was my birthday and she surprised me with a happy birthday dessert (was such a lovely gesture). The food was really nice and good quality but quite expensive. ||The overall hotel was clean and tidy we had two rooms, one room was clean and tidy and had a note left on the bed saying “cleaned today by …”, the other room didn’t and noticed quite abit of dust around. ||We used the swimming pool, sauna, steam room etc and was all clean and pool was warm. There was a few swimming lessons going on so wasn’t too relaxing. You get pool towels which is handy. ||Overall was a lovely stay.

This was our second visit to Ashford International, the first five years ago. The staff were fantastic, and could not do enough for you. The hotel should be great, however it is in need of some updating. Specifically, the heating system keeps breaking down. Having been contacted in advance to see if we really needed the accessible room because there was no heating, on our arrival we were still offered that room, only to find it was cold. We were offered an alternative, a family room which was spacious and well appointed, although the heating seemed temperamental. However we had to change room for our last night, and was offered a junior suite. Again the heating would not come on, althought the maintenance man quickly came out to help. A design fault with the suite is the lack of power sockets near the bed. Having medical equipment that needed to be plugged in, we had to ask for an extension lead to reach the power socket at the other end of the room. My wife having reduced mobility, looked forward to using the pool, which we knew she could get into easily, however the stair lift to lower ground area was broken. We still got to the pool, and had enjoyable swim, but the lift would have helped. The restaurant was nice, but would have appreciated some additional healthy options on the menu.||Overall, we enjoyed our stay, and would visit again, but preferably after the heating system has been replaced, I accept this will be expensive.

We booked a spa break and it was fantastic value for money. The hotel, room and restaurant were all lovely, modern and clean. The restaurant food was really good. Our spa treatments were also very good although the spa and leisure centre is a bit tired and could have been a bit cleaner. Overall we had a great time and enjoyed the 2 days there!

Reception staff were really helpful and friendly. Stayed for two nights. The room was clean, bed was very comfortable and shower was lovely. It was busy when we were there but service was good. Free parking is a big positive for me. Location was good and suited us.
