Beautiful building, staff and room were brilliant. Special thanks to Cassie for helping me out .it was very busy as it was valentines weekend, the staff did the best they could. There was difficulty getting a seat around the pool at the spa and jacuzzi was cold, but was very clean and pleasant experience. My treatment was brilliant, thanks Tatiana. It took some planning to check in at 3pm have a treatment at 4, wife treatment at 5, enjoy spa and have dinner in 4 hour window but we did it. Maybe it would be possible to open the spa at 4 for people checking in at 3 to reduce the 5pm rush? Lady at breakfast was showing guests to table, explaining the menu and taking some orders by herself as well as some guests refusing to serve themselves a coffee from the buffet giving her additional jobs. She managed it but could have done with some more help. The two ladies were running around but doing their best. The team in the bar did a great job getting our drinks and taking orders, polite and efficient. Evening dinner was delicious!

My partner and I had a wonderful three day break at Eastwell Manor. We stayed in a mews cottage room which was cosy and the ideal base. It was clean and we didn't hear anyone else around us. It could have done with a full length mirror, and there was a perfect wall for one. That's a minor point. Housekeeping visited daily and refreshed towels and other paraphenalia.||||The food during our stay was very good. The menu did not change and there were two meat options, a fish and a vegetarian. We were there for three days and it was fine. if we were there any longer we may have wanted more choice. All of the staff were very good, but Scarlett really stood out. It's busy, and high pressure, but she always found a little time for a genuine chat. She is very suited to guest facing hospitality.||||We used the new outdoor whirlpool which was fun on a cold winter day. It is actually quite a social experience and everyone was chatting. It was very pleasant, albeit cold on exit. In some cultures they pay extra for that, but being British we complained and laughed about it while making monkey noises.||||I had three treatments back to back; a Tibetan head massage, body massage, and a body wrap. This all took two and a half hours but it seemed to be much shorter as I went into a deeply relaxed state. I felt very light and refreshed for the rest of the day. I would recommend doing back to back treatments. Katrinya (I think, it's been a couple of days - I know that she comes from the Ukraine and I hope my spelling isn't too awful) was superb in delivering my treatments. She is highly recommended.||||David, the Elemis specialist, was really knowledgeable and pleasant. We enjoyed our chats with him, and came away with plenty of product to remind us of a lovely stay.||||As the lady on reception said when we left; 'sadly all good things must come to an end'. So it is, but we can always go back!

I am deeply disappointed with my recent experience at Champneys. Upon arrival, I discovered that the hot tub was out of order, the small pool was unclean with visible scum and plasters, and the water appeared murky. More than half of the hydro jets were non-functional, and both saunas were at full capacity. Additionally, the main pool was occupied by an aqua class. All loungers were taken, and the remaining ones had towels left on them. The relaxation room was also full, and to make matters worse, my treatment lasted only 40 minutes instead of the promised 50. As a result, we left early, feeling thoroughly dissatisfied. I subsequently emailed my complaint and was offered a 50% discount on my next stay only to be used at the eastwell manor branch, but when I requested a refund, this was refused. I find this situation entirely unacceptable and intend to pursue this matter further. The one-star rating I have provided is solely for the grounds, as the overall experience was far below expectations. The service was overpriced, and I would receive a better experience at my local swimming pool. What an insult to be offered only a 50% refund on my next stay. Shocking!
