Customer experiences
Absolutely banging chicken strips with really friendly staff and you HAVE to try the chocolate brownie your life will actually change.
The kids pizza was clearly a microwave one that had been in too look. It was rock solid and impossible to eat. So we ordered her garlic bread. When staff came over to give us the garlic bread we had feed back on the pizza and he just repeated "unappetising" and stared at me like I was insane! The garlic bread was then also burnt. I ordered the halloumi burger and I'm pretty sure it had a bit of beef on it as when I had my first bite it was definitely beefy! Luckily I'm not actually vegetarian so it didn't matter to me but if I had been that would have been awful. Parking is awful there's space for about 3 cars with limited on street parking. Toilets smelt of mould and the bar service was slow. Rest of the food is ok but you get what you pay for. Cheep cost, cheep food.
Food was amazing, I loved the Philly cheese toasty, really hope they bring it back! Atmosphere is warm and inviting. And thank you Elle, what a great member of the team! Friendly with a great smile!
Oh dear. Came for Sunday lunch only to find they had run out of roasts. First big disappointment as that was one of the main reasons for choosing this pub! We then ordered food but waited over an hour before starters arrived. Then another 30 minutes before we got our main courses. Mine was missing half the vegetables advertised. When I queried it, I was told they had run out so just didn’t serve them! So basically I only had half a meal. Lots of other customers around us were complaining, mainly due to the long waits, but also others whose meals were incorrect. The place seemed to be horrendously understaffed and under stocked, really poorly organised. The poor bar man was on his own, serving drinks as well as waiting tables and running in and out of the kitchen to check what was happening with food. Felt so sorry for him. All in all not a good experience. The only saving grace was the food was tasty and prices good value. But would not return.
County Arms is a pub.
