I took my new puppy to Dartmouth Veterinary Hospital for his routine vaccinations and boosters. Staff were very accommodating and helpful. Dr Robb was very helpful and gentle with Gus my puppy. Everything was explained and I was given options. I would highly recommend Dartmouth Vet for all your pets needs.

When our cat that we brought in was severely dehydrated and depressed due to us leaving town for 3 days (we had relatives come check on him and feed him during this time, don’t worry) they proceeded to almost force us to keep him there to do more tests that would’ve cost upwards of 1000 extra dollars, compared to the $1500 fee already paid when he was initially brought in. They then said that they thought he had a deadly disease and that he would die soon, and that if we brought him home he would die. They also said that if they did the tests and found out about him having the disease then they would euthanize him. We then immediately brought him home (due to him seeming completely normal again after the IV fluid treatment) and he has been perfectly fine ever since. He was 2 years old at the time and is now 10. My parents just informed me of this incident and how the veterinarian made my father feel horrible for bringing him home. It’s just troubling knowing that the vet will charge you so more money, even if they have no idea what’s going on, before and after multiple tests.

I have been bringing my sweet cocker to this clinic for over a decade. She has received the very best care and attention each and every time we come through the doors. Dr Robb is the absolute best vet whose expertise and practice truly centres around a collaborative approach to giving both the best point in time care as well as long term planning for your family member. The time, patience, and compassion that Dr Robb, the wonderful techs, and the terrific front staff (Holly, Marcy, Alicia, Caitlyn- appreciate you all) show each time we come through the doors is always appreciated. Thank you to each of you
