Days Inn by Wyndham Hillsborough

First impressions weren't promising, heater was noisy and thermostat didn't work, set at 69° and room was about 75° when we got back. Turned it off and room was comfortable for both nights (March). However, the two most important things in a room, beds and shower, were great! Beds were soo comfy, and shower had copious amounts of hot water! Dove shampoo, conditioner and body wash are provided in the shower. And there were lots of towels for the 3 of us. Breakfast was also very good, with waffles, biscuits and gravy, and scrambled eggs as well as standard breakfast fare. Hotel is undergoing renovations, and we were there the last day the pool will be open for a while.

I had a really great experience here. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt welcoming and the staff were genuinely friendly and attentive. Everything was handled professionally, but it never felt stiff or forced—just good, honest service. What stood out the most was the attention to detail. They clearly care about the quality of what they’re doing and making sure customers leave happy. It’s rare to find a place that balances efficiency with such a personal touch. Overall, I’m really impressed and will definitely be coming back. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a reliable, high-quality experience.

Unbelievably dirty hotel. The rug was wet (truly--you had to wear shoes at all times); there were holes in the walls; the sheets were stained; the furniture was sticky. There were spills in the breakfast room and lobby, attracting ants. If we hadn't arrived at 10 p.m. after 11 hours of driving in terrible traffic (with another 11 hours ahead of us the next day) we would have left. As it was, we put on our rain ponchos and slept on top of the duvet cover. Honestly--it would be funny how bad the place was if we hadn't had to stay here. Also, got charged far more than we expected after booking online. Avoid.
