As a healthcare professional I am always looking for opportunities to learn about advances in dementia care, and grow in my field. I have heard wonderful things from coworkers about Carol and am looking forward to participating in the educational sessions she has to offer. Knowledge is power, and the more information we have to help manage our population, the better equipped we are to offer support in their time of need.
After my father was diagnosed with Dementia my family needed more answers than the doctors had time to provide regarding how to understand what is happening in the brain of someone with dementia. We also needed guidance on how to communicate and approach someone with dementia. Carol Bailey was able to not only answer our questions, but she taught us how to prepare for what changes we may see in the future such as memory and language damage, impulse control problems, and performance problems. I highly recommend any of her training/workshops. Being in a group/class setting was helpful because we were able to share our experiences and learn how others are coping with their family member or patients.
Carol is very knowledgeable, kind and patient. I would highly recommend you reaching out to her if you have a loved one suffering from dementia.
