Excellent service and incredible food. Highly recommend the beef short ribs and the dry-aged cheeseburger – the flavours truly speak for themselves. The attention to detail is evident in every dish. So far, everything has been outstanding – I genuinely love everything on the plate. The side dishes are thoughtfully paired, complementing each other beautifully. It’s clear that whoever curated the menu put real thought and care into it. Well done and thank you!

I visited Dexter years ago and wasn’t all that impressed—but after returning recently, I’m so glad I gave it another shot. This time, I had to share my experience. Dexter is hands-down one of the best dining spots in Preston. As a meat lover, this place absolutely hits the mark. The meat doughnut is iconic—smoky brisket encased in fluffy, slightly sweet dough, paired with a spicy dip that perfectly balances the flavors.
The bone marrow mash? An absolute standout. Rich, buttery, and packed with umami—it’s a must-order.
The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender, and the steak just melts in your mouth. The service was quick and the staff are awesome! @fashionablymaureen

A Preston treasure. The meat doughnut is iconic— Smokey brisket encased in fluffy pillowy heaven, fried to perfection and then rolled in sugary, savoury doughnut dreams. The stuff legends are made of. The lamb ribs with chimichurri and the cheeseburger were also spectacular + faultless. It was getting hard to capture the food on my camera as there were eager hands and tummies wanting to snaffle everything up ASAP! Cannot wait to return!
