DHE - Dependable Highway Express

Tried to ship LTL with them. First they "lost" the pallet in their warehouse for over a month and went MIA. Then they charged me to return the product to original pickup location after my customer gave up waiting for the product to be delivered.

Wow where to begin with this company? They shipped some freight for us from Los Angeles to Fresno last week. It arrived at their warehouse on Saturday according to the tracking number. By Tuesday no one had reached out to schedule a delivery so we called them. They said someone would call us to schedule the delivery within the next couple days. No one did. We proactively called them several times and were told our freight is in a trailer that hasn’t been unloaded yet and they couldn’t tell us a date and time it would be delivered. Annoyed at this, and needing our freight for this coming weekend (it’s Thursday today, they’ve had our freight for 5 days at this point) we offered to come down there and pick up the freight ourselves. They’ve just told me I can pick it up between 3-5 and after reading all the other 1 star reviews and having experienced the run around and lack of empathy I have a feeling after I trek all the way over to this warehouse this evening they are going to tell me come back tomorrow. This is ridiculous, they have been paid to do a service, which they aren’t even going to do in a “dependable” (the irony here lol) manner so I’m going to do it myself and they are still getting paid the full price of service. I don’t know how hard it is to call a customer and say “we are behind and would like to get you your freight as soon as possible, can you wait for it or come and pick it up if you like”? Obviously it’s pretty hard to do that! I will edit this review later tonight and update it on whether or not I got my freight and what the rest of my experience was like.

They are still lacking any semblance of "dependability." The driver they sent to delivery my commercial freezer couldn't figure out how to get it off the truck. He promised to redeliver that day -- a Friday -- but I never heard from him. After getting the manufacturer involved, the best they could do was redeliver in a different truck (hopefully with a different driver) on Monday. Great. They should be ashamed of and embarrassed by their customer service.
