Perfectly located right outside of downtown, near the Country Club Plaza and the Union Train Station and great food. The hotel though, the service and amenities that are paid for with the room are okay… Many other things that we thought were included in a Junior Suite (we originally booked an Executive Suite and got switched) were available after fees, such as meals. Also, the pool doesn’t exist anymore.. supposedly got replaced with the Starbucks in the lobby? Our in-room phone didn’t work. I personally thought our room was pretty cool because we had such a great view. Our vacation was great though, so can’t complain too much!

I had a wonderful stay at the Marriott on the Plaza in Kansas City, but what really stood out to me was the incredible service from one of the valet attendants, a young lady named Brandie. She was so sweet and helpful from the moment I arrived. She went out of her way to make me feel welcome, complimented my dress, and had the most gorgeous, genuine smile that truly brightened my day. It’s little moments like that which make a stay memorable, and Brandie definitely made mine. Kudos to the Marriott for having such a great team member—I’ll definitely be returning!

The rooms are old and falling apart, we had to wait three hours to get our room (two hours after 3PM), our room had incredibly loud and old air conditioning, and people in the hallways were so loud. Was not comfortable at any point in this hotel, will not stay here again. Courtyards are now nicer than this hotel
