We are beyond delighted with the final result of our renovation project under guidance of Duane Erb Construction. The work was completed in September and still there is not a day that goes by that we are not grateful and delighted by our beautiful bedroom and ensuite, true to the original design of our home. Being relatively new to the KW area, we were at a loss to know who were the reliable and qualified contractors in the city. We had moved into a older home which had undergone many "do it yourself" projects over the years. We had a vision to transform an upstairs bathroom into a master ensuite as well as create storage in the bedroom (as the primary clothes closets existed in the hall). We started to notice a name frequently popping up around our neighbourhood, a company that appeared to manage large and small projects alike. From the first consultation we were sold. This is a family business which prides itself on excellence in craftsmanship, equally as engaged with the project as the client. Darren Erb oversaw our project and was exceptional in walking us through every step of the process. We knew nothing about construction - this was our first renovation - but every question was answered, ideas considered and explanations given. There was someone at our house every day for the 3 months it took to complete the project - multiple trades, carefully orchestrated with timelines outlined in our Buildertrend file. We enlisted the help of Colleen at Aberdeen Interior Design (credited in the photos) to help establish the esthetic aspects of the renovation and she was welcomed at every consultation. Dave was our primary carpenter - amazing talent! Equal attention paid to bulk framing as to the smallest bit of trim work. The trades - plumbing, tiling (Ben), electrical (Anna), HVAC, drywall, cabinetry (Custom Kitchens), painting (Carla) - lovely people who took care of our home and were a joy to have around. I have hired Duane Erb Construction to rebuild my 40-year-old sunroom in 2025. This company has scored the highest on every checkbox of my expectations. The project was completed on schedule. The quality of design and workmanship was flawless, and the responsiveness of owner, Darren, and project manager Liam was second to none. I have worked with several contractors in my life, but I have never had such pleasant, worry-free experience. I am grateful for getting a beautiful new sunroom, that has elevated the interiors of my house to the next level. Duane Erb Construction completed a renovation project for me on my 100 year old house during summer to fall of 2019. From the estimate to completion, they were professional, courteous, and communicated extremely well about every aspect of the project. The work that was done involved a complete kitchen renovation as well as a remodelling of the structure which included the removal of walls and changes/additions of exterior windows and doors. A deck was also built towards the end of the project. There were multiple trades involved including electrical, masonry, plumbing, flooring, and tiling. Darren Erb, the project manager, coordinated the work wonderfully, and there was a schedule provided so that I would know daily who and what was happening. This was extremely well coordinated. Any changes that were needed to the scope of work were discussed and agreed upon, with options clearly laid out for me to make a decision. Jamie the on-site project manager was incredible. He was skilled, hard-working, and delight to have in our home each day. Jamie's craftmanship and attention to detail took the project to a level that exceeded my expectations. Twila did a tremendous job with the painting, matching the new interior finishes perfectly to the existing ones. All of the staff from Duane Erb were polite, kind, and respectful. I highly recommend this company for anyone considering a renovation.
