A great garage — if you have too much spare cash and want to get rid of it. Otherwise, stay away. Total scammers. I went there for a diagnostic check — £60 for 10 minutes. They plugged in the computer, found nothing, and told me the boot struts needed replacing. Turned out it wasn’t the struts at all. So that’s £60 wasted on a useless diagnostic and another £50 down the drain for parts I didn’t need. Definitely do not recommend!!!!!

Do not use this garage simple as that don't say i didn't warn you about the cowboys who don't have a clue about car mechanics they only scam you and take your money...gave me car in for MOT then went to pick it up same day and then there's a misfire ..they caused the misfire by installing their own faulty engine coil pack into my car then tell me I need 3 new spark plugs and 3 engine coil which will cost me £600 karma will get to these evil people

Worst Service Ever! I handed over my Meriva (semi-auto) to SL Motors over four months ago for a simple gear delay issue. It’s been 4 months with zero communication or updates on my car. I’ve had to repeatedly reach out to the owner, who finally claimed that the actuator isn't working — though this still hasn't been confirmed. They’ve had my car for months and all my advance money, yet they haven’t done a single thing to fix it or provide a reasonable solution. I’ve never experienced such poor customer service in my life. I have kids and have been paying for taxis on daily basis which is a huge burden on my pocket. I strongly advise against using SL Motors for any repairs. There are plenty of respectable mechanics in the area who will actually help you. Don’t waste your time or money on these guys.

Honestly the worst garage I have ever dealt with. My car struggled turning over/starting and they could not find a problem then asked ME the customer what I think it is (baring in mind I have no clue about cars) so I suggested maybe the starter motor. Which they then replaced. Fast forward a couple days later the car would not start completely. After my vehicle had been recovered and taken to them, they told me they misdiagnosed the car as now it needs a new timing belt! They forgot they didn’t diagnose it at all as they asked me what I thought was wrong with it. My car was with them for 2 MONTHS! I was not updated about anything and every time I called to find out what was happening with it they told me “a few more days”. Finally after 2 months of them having my car I finally got it back, only to find out a couple weeks later they had not put the engine back together properly so I had an oil leak. So once again my car went back to them. Now as I said before I know nothing about cars but from asking around with other mechanics I was told an oil leak should not take more than 2 days as they are a simple fix (head gasket). 7 DAYS later I was still waiting for my car and I honestly called everyday for an update and was told “it is on a test drive”. I don’t know what test drive takes 7 days but 2 days after I finally got my car back I got a TFL Congestion Fine in the post saying my car was drove in Central London on a Sunday at 2.39pm. Bearing in mind SL Motors is over an hour away from where the fine said and they are not even open on Sundays. When I questioned them about this they told me “Sorry sir we don’t know what your car was doing there”. So basically my car was either hired out or was just taken for a jolly up for the week all while I was being told “It is on a test drive” everyday. Not only that but my car STANK of cigarette smoke which I find absolutely disgusting as I do not smoke and have children in my car. My car was under warranty so unfortunately I had to keep taking it back to them to be repaired for anyone wondering. Honestly to anyone thinking about using this garage please do not. Your car will be hired out while you’re being told it is in for repair or they just won’t communicate with you and eventually stop answering your calls. Please avoid at all costs.
