I am very grateful to Roy for the excellent service that he has provided us with over the years, most recently the very thorough power flush of our central heating system. Roy is a consummate professional and a true gentleman. It is a pleasure to watch him work and marvel at the expertise he brings to bear on all manner of jobs, both routine and urgent. As an example of the latter, I phoned Roy early one morning after our boiler flue terminal fractured in an overnight storm and within a couple of hours he had sourced and fitted a high-quality, heavy-duty replacement. On another occasion, Roy noticed that our toilet cistern cold-feed flexible hose was leaking and replaced with a much neater, tailored length of 15mm copper pipe, replete with full-bore isolation valve. He also renewed the noisy, defective flush syphon for good measure. The combined result was transformational and much appreciated every day (and especially at night!) Thank you again Roy and look forward to your next visit.

Can't speak highly enough of Roy. He was able to come at short notice to fix an overflowing water tank. Roy is very efficient and very knowledgeable. He took time to explain what was required and gave options on how to get the job finished. He's very friendly and has a great ability to explain things in layman's terms without blinding you with jargon or patronising you. Couldn't recommend him highly enough.

Let’s start this review with the positives, Roy is a pleasant gentleman who certainly knows his trade and does a neat and tidy job. And I really wish I could end my review of Roy Shannon there. However, if you are looking for a plumber who charges twice the hourly rate and works at half the speed of a decent plumber - Roy is your man. Took 4 hours to remove a toilet that had its cistern drained and water turned off, remove a sink fitted with isolator valves. Chip off about 1/2sqm meter of wall tiles and lift 2sqm of floor tiles that were not that well stuck down. Then the next full day was spent reducing height of water supply to toilet and new valve, changing a radiator with a slight piping modification as new radiator was slightly wider, new radiator valves and finally redirecting sink feeds and waste to fit with new unit. All very neat and tidy but costing approx £800 for labour alone! 10-12 hours of “work” and the best of it is it’s not even finished. Now our floor has gone down Roy is expecting another 6-8 hours to fit the new toilet, vanity unit and sink costing another “approximately £600+”. So in summary, this man does a decent job, could talk for days (at your cost), tidies up well (again at your cost) but is not even remotely value for money. We are having to source another plumber to finish this job as having shelled out £1200 already I’m loathe to give this man a penny more.

Fantastic from start to finish. Had leak in downstairs toilet and having read reviews called Roy. Lovely guy came out the same day to fix it - had the job done quickly with no faff and was extremely professional and polite and fairly priced. Wouldnt hesitate to recommend to others!
