As a homeowner, I hate searching for people to repair my furnace or appliances or do things like clean my carpets. (I really hate it!) So when I find someone who is very good, I make sure not to lose their phone number. Elburn Electric has done work for me and people I know for years--and they have never disappointed. It is the kind of company that fixes what other service people have screwed up, and explains to you why the work wasn't done right the first time. I cannot recommend Elburn Electric more highly.

UPDATE: This company refuses to return calls and has zero customer service. The condo building did a voltage check both at the meter and the breaker panel and found that it is in fact 208v and not 240v. There is absolutely no way this company could have read the combined voltage as being sufficient 240v. As for the dishwasher, code does allow for hoses and electrical to be placed through the side of the adjacent cabinet. Being left on the floor is showing careless incompetence and no regard for the home owners request for a refund. We were having two appliances delivered (electric range and dishwasher). We requested a 240v line installed and according to the company there was sufficient voltage coming from the breaker however after install of the electric range, the installer measured the voltage to find that the combined is only 212v. Elburn Electric did not show me that there was sufficient voltage so I have no idea if they are being honest. Our installer also spoke to the tech to discuss the low voltage and not once did Elburn Electric tell him when they performed the work that there was sufficient voltage. The tech also advised us that the new dishwashers require an electrical outlet as they now come with a plug. This is how the tech performed the work and assured us it will be fine. Our Bosch dishwasher would not slide in due to the pipe sticking out. We had to pay the installer to cut the pipe back and install the outlet in to the adjacent wall to the side of the dishwasher. Elburn Electric claim that process done by the installer (specific instructions in the manual by Bosch) was not code however they were more than happy to leave the outlet on the floor. They have zero concern for our issues.

We were referred by Hot Tub Tony's for the electrical hookup to our hot tub. Ray and Liz were pleasant to work with, showing great flexibility in scheduling. Ray was knowledgeable and already familiar with the required specs before I even showed him the hot tub details. Will definitely use in the future for any additional work.
