I had been a loyal client of Bartucci Beauty since 2023 and spent thousands here over time, always tipping generously. On my most recent visit (August 2025), I was charged over $380 for a mediocre balayage alone (no cut, no blow dry-plus additional fees). This was far above the salon’s own website listing of $250-$290 for balayage when I booked my appointment nearly a month prior. After enquiring about my bill, I learned that Bartucci had implemented an abrupt price increase on all services just days before my appointment. Yet I was never notified in advance, nor was there any notice on the website. On top of the overpriced balayage, they also added an "extra product fee" just to wash the color out of my hair, as well as a "salon fee". Despite these inflated charges, I left the salon with wet hair and only minimal color work that looks unfinished in parts. My stylist, Carlo, did not take the time to discuss or even mention the new price increases at any point during my appointment, nor did he make an effort to fully understand my hair goals. Not only was the lack of transparency unprofessional, but the service itself was underwhelming compared to the past. Carlo was disengaged throughout and the overall experience felt rushed and careless. For the premium prices this salon now charges, clients deserve honesty, quality, communication, and transparency. Unfortunately, that was not my experience with Carlo and Bartucci, and I will not be returning.

Dropped about $85 on a men's cut and beard trim at Bartucci Beauty. The salon's vibe is upscale, and the staff is welcoming. However, the cut didn't quite hit the mark—was aiming for a clean fade but ended up with uneven sides. The beard trim was decent, but not the sharp look I was hoping for. Appreciate the ambiance, but for the price, I expected more precision.

I never take the time to write reviews, but unfortunately I had such a poor experience here that this warrants my time. I booked a color online with Daniel (base touch up with a highlight/balayage add-on). When he met me, he rather curtly said that we would just cover the grays (didn't take the time to talk to me and ask what I wanted). I asked him about the balayage, but he said he didn't have time for it. We had a bit of back-and-forth (he hadn't noticed that I booked the balayage add-on; then he said that was only for existing clients??, which wasn't at all clear when I booked the service). He maintained "all I can do is cover the grays." I sat there confused for a moment, since that is not the service I had booked. He paused, looked at me, then very rudely and snarkily said "or you can leave." Stunned, I opted to leave. My complaint is twofold: 1) I clearly booked the right service, and it was his mistake not mine (or some glitch in the online booking system). 2) Even if, for some reason I was in the wrong, you should NEVER treat a client with such disrespect. The rude nature in which he asked me to leave was uncalled for. Upon leaving, both owners were kind and generously asked what they could do to help. I really appreciate that level of customer service and wish them both the best with their business. Unfortunately, my overall experience is tainted and I will not be returning. There are many fabulous salons in the city; I will be taking my business to one that treats their clients with respect.
