I had a surgery and everything went great with that. Two days later I broke out in terrible hives in which I thought was the last of the drugs getting out of my system. Come 4 days post surgery I am still breaking out and try to call in to speak with a nurse or someone from the care team to see if this was normal. They would not let me speak with anyone over the phone other than a someone in a call center. They said they would message my care team even after I mentioned I was worried and would like to speak to someone. I didn't get anything back until I messaged my own care team through the Endeavor App and they called and said I should go to immediate care since I definitely should not still be breaking out. Why is it so hard to speak with a medical professional when you call Evanston Hospital? The allergic reaction isn't my complaint, it is not being about to speak to someone. Or that they robot call you a ton of times to cancel, confirm, and reschedule but I can't call in? My recent virtual appointment was also canceled due to tech issue with the Endeavor App and server.

This used to be a very good hospital quite some time ago. Now it's below average unfortunately. If you are planning to go to the emergency room there, unless you are literally deteriorating in front of them or dying, they will make you wait no matter how much pain you say you are in and no matter how empty the ER waiting room looks. Read the other reviews and be prepared mentally if you decide to go. Update: Gave it one more star since their non-emergency staff has proven to be very accommodating and pleasant to work with.

I shouldn’t even give them a star! Just spent 5 & 1/2 hrs in the ER with my MIL for nothing. A few vital signs in the lobby & to never have her name called again. It’s 10pm and we just walked out. We have No answers, nothing! Horrible Hospital - don’t bother unless you’re arriving in an ambulance maybe.

Horrible!! No continuity between nurse shifts. They are not knowledgeable of events from prior shifts. I received a call at midnight that my wife fell out of bed, and hit her head. My wife has cognitive issues and should have been somewhat restrained. There response was that they would move her to a room closer to the nurse station but needed a Dr. to put in an order in order to restrain her. Never go to this hospital if you are looking for quality care. The icu staff are fantastic accolade’s!!
