I’ve been extremely disappointed with my experience at Equinox. The clubs are always overcrowded, making it difficult to use the facilities, and the locker rooms are consistently dirty with towels everywhere. On top of that, it’s uncomfortable to see people walking around nude in shared spaces, which makes the overall atmosphere feel unprofessional. For a premium price, I expected far better service, cleanliness, and respect for privacy. I regret signing up and will not be renewing my membership. I would not recommend this gym to anyone looking for a clean and comfortable workout environment.

Based on the reviews, I was expecting to be really disappointed, especially coming from a similarly priced gym (Pharos). But I’ve been delightfully surprised and really pleased with my experience at Equinox Hollywood across the facilities to staff. Big shout out to my pilates trainer Saty—go see her! The staff are welcoming, there’s tons of great equipment and I’ve rarely found it super crowded, and the bathrooms/showers are extremely clean. The stream room is just perfect. Also, I am trans and know other trans people who go here with no issues which is a huge plus. If you’re a reasonable adult with a regulated nervous system that doesn’t feel the need to be petty about minor inconveniences, you will get a great workout and enjoy an obviously premium experience here.

I tried to join equinox not just for my personal use but also explored whether to bring my corporate company team to equinox but the system is chaotic and as a result utterly unreliable in terms of making any training or spa appointments or even trying to pay for these sessions - I can’t bring my business account here as the service is poor and on 2 attempts to book simple private training and physio sessions all appointments got lost or dropped from their system so I turn up both times and both times there is nothing on the system recorded - there is double bookings and the system on both occasions dropped my account off their system - I have wasted so much of my time -equinox is definately not worth wasting time with - looks glossy and fantastic but the critical service required to support that is lacking to a shocking degree. My experience was frustrating and wasted money and time and my advise is Do not join this gym. In LA there are plenty of better gyms with higher basic level of service support.

I tried a complimentary session with Demi at Equinox in Hollywood, and from the start, it was clear that she is incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about helping clients reach their goals. She takes the time to understand individual needs, explains exercises in detail, and ensures proper form to prevent injuries. Her energy is contagious, and she knows exactly how to challenge you while keeping each session engaging and effective. Even in just one session, I felt the impact of her guidance, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dedicated, skilled, and motivating trainer. Equinox is lucky to have her!
