Couldn’t recommend enough!! I called them quite worried as I had bought a car from A dealership quite far away and I was noticing some issues, they took my car in quickly and gave it a thorough inspection and report absolutely for free!! I’ll definitely be using them moving forward! As a note I struggle with calling various garages because they can sometimes be abrupt the lady on the phone was so polite and helpful!! Thank you so much.

It’s been a month now since picking up my car from this awful garage. I had been a customer at this garage several times before (previous mechanic was good) also family & friends had been here…. But not anymore! My car had a suspected antifreeze leak this time…4 weeks after my car being in this garage for an oil leak! So dropped my car off on Wednesday 4/4/25 just after 8am & was greeted by mechanic who told me he would just have his breakfast & then take a look at my car. I asked him to call me with any news asap….No phone call I rang them at 3pm to be told it needed a new water pump,long story short wrong pump was ordered should have gone by VIN-number but went by reg another day wasted but I had to ring them again for update as no phone call to explain. I asked them to let me know the next morning that correct part had arrived…. No phone call. I rang them at 12:45 & part had just arrived?!? I then received a phone call at 16:30 to say car was ready. I arrived with a friend and the state of the garage water on floor out the back of my car ,anti freeze on the floor at the front. Car running. I just wanted to get out of there and get my car away from this place. My friend an I started to drive home but heard knocking and sounds under the bonnet, pulled over lifted bonnet to find 5 some large & heavy tools left on engine & various places under bonnet.By the time I got home we looked at antifreeze in the coolant clear plastic container it was at minimum this is because it should have been good practice to take the car out to let coolant run through system but not done. In hindsight thank god it wasn’t coz this mechanic could not careless about my car or the state he left it in. No seat cover was used or mat protector. Oil on my mats and interior. I complained to garage but they could not careless, I chased for a reply was then offered a valet & a free service….there is NO WAY I was going to give this garage my car again. They even had the cheek to ask if I’d drop the tools back. I replied & said I wasn’t happy with this offer & have since heard nothing. No surprise! Considering this garages ethos, friendly honest garage. I would question that they actually care about the cars or just about the money they can over charge people for a poor/sloppy service . Just started to use Evans Motors. First experience was good. A little confusion with comms, but that overcome. Really pleased with the service. Will deff be using the Evans group again.
