I recently was seen at Faith Family and I unfortunately don’t have the best to say this go round. I usually don’t do reviews but when I left and balled crying, I knew I had too. The service/care that I was given today was not good. The ladies at the front were so nice so I appreciate that. However, once I went to the back that’s when things changed. I saw a Dr who I actually really do like. She is nice. However, today I felt so rushed and talked over (probably because she was rushing me) I wanted to leave. Due to needing care, I knew I should suck it up and continue with my appointment. I do have a few things that I needed to speak to the doctor about and I understand that I’m not the only patient and there were probably other patients waiting to be seen however, I have had an appointment in the past and have waited an hour to be seen before. When speaking with me, she let it be known that she had a patient that had been waiting for her for a while and that she couldn’t go over other things that I needed to speak about due to time. That was flag number one for me. You can only imagine how that made me feel especially knowing I was at the doctor office to speak about issues going on with me. Even if she didn’t have time to go over everything, there’s always a way to say things to people. Especially without them feeling rushed. So I just finished the appointment out and let her have her way as she may have been having a bad day or something who knows. After that I needed to go and get my blood taken after I provided a urine sample. Once I got to the room where I needed to get my blood drawn there was a taller gentleman which I’m unsure of his name, but he was on his computer, smiling as if he was maybe messaging someone but that’s none of my business What he was doing. My issue is that he did not say hello or even look at me for that matter. He then called me by someone else’s name, which I guess can be an honest mistake but after calling me a different name there was no apology or anything. There was no conversation no How are you or are you having a good day? Nothing. He then pulled my arm over so that he could prepare my arm to have my blood drawn. He pricked me once and missed the vein! He did not apologize or let it be known that he missed the vein and was going to need to re-stick me he just proceeded to re-stick me and thankfully he landed the vein that time. After that, he rudely asked if I left urine which I had. And then said nothing. I then asked him if I was good to go and he said “yeah”. There was no “have a good day” “thank you” or anything just “yeah”. So rude! again, I’m not sure what’s going on as there were a lot of new faces, but this is somewhere that I actually was OK with going to but now after this interaction I can’t say I’ll be back. And that makes me sad. However, I am leaving this review because someone needs to know and hopefully changes can be made. If you want to treat someone bad or unkind, treat the person that comes in and treats you that way, not someone who comes in with a smile and is speaking and having conversation as a normal human being. I was there for help/care and left in tears.
Such a wholesome, amazing place with a kind, caring, & attentive staff. Roxy, Jackie, & Dede were so amazing and patient with me I am so happy with my experience. I got everything I needed taken care of in an hour, which was great because I had a scheduled interview at 3pm & my appointment was at 2pm. The services were very affordable and based on income. So affordable that the copay was cheaper than any I’ve had to pay when I was insured. I definitely look forward to donating to such a wonderful facility. Truly am grateful for everyone who contributed to such a positive experience today. God bless & thank you for your service!
Faith Family Medical Center offers EXCELLENT community yoga classes! I attended a class taught by Karman Meyer and I thoroughly loved it! Karman creates such a warm, compassionate, and inclusive environment in her class that makes you feel welcome and at-ease and she expertly guides the class through a yoga practice that is both relaxing and rejuvenating. The yoga class is easy to find, with a quick check-in process, and there is plenty of parking. Although I am not a patient of the clinic, I was really pleased to see the wide variety of health and wellness programs offered to the community. Beth, their on-staff dietician informed me about a free cooking class that I am looking forward to attend. Very happy with my visit and will be back soon!
