Let me start by saying I do not believe in writing reviews if I am paying for a service I expect the best they have to offer, well I finally met an exception to that rule and his name is Shawn Fitzgerald. As any parent we send our children off to college hoping for the best and 4 years of bliss. Well then reality hit, my daughter got into what should have been a run of the mill mistake with a couple of fines and a good scolding turned into a major incident. By the time we got involved the police where looking for her on campus. I spoke to shawn on a Friday morning he said give him a couple of days to get more information and plan on being in Iowa on Monday to work things out. We arrived on Monday ( over 3.5 hours away) in a attempt to resolve the problem. At this point the police attempted to arrest her on other charges, but Shawn was ahead of them already speaking to a Judge to have her come over to the courthouse to go before him. The state’s attorney attempted to charge her with 2 substantial charges relating to the original fines. Shawn was able to reach a settlement that was in my daughters best interest and not affecting her future career path. Shawn was amazing during the whole process saving me and my daughter multiple court appearances, he was available for questions regarding the case and kept us updated every step of the way. I felt Shawn had my daughters best interest in mind while attempting to resolve the matter. I highly recommend Shawn for any legal matters if you need a lawyer.
